Bringing the possibilities
of broadcast technology to wider society

At NES we have developed technical solutions for speech transcription,
speech synthesis, face recognition, etc., based on the results of NHK's
technological research and development activities. We work to refine,
commercialize and encourage the wider adoption of these technologies,
and to educate potential users as to their benefits.

With today's rapid pace of technological innovation, ensuring the smooth transfer of new technologies is crucial.
NHK makes its expertise and technologies available to industry and society at large through NHK Engineering System, Inc. [NES].

Established in December 1981 by NHK, its affiliated organizations, and the Electronic Industries Association of Japan, NES encourages the transfer of NHK's technologies and the widespread use of its patents. Moreover, the interests of NES go beyond broadcasting to serve other industries including cinema, medicine, machinery, photography and printing. Please feel free to call on our expertise.
